Why are they called hamburgers if they're made of beef. Am I missing something? Are they actually beef flavored pork?

It dates back to the Ottoman Empire, and the tradition of the Tartar's eating raw mince meat. Somehow it made its way to hamburg, and hamburgers were named after it at a worlds fair in the states. Or I may be completely pulling this out of my ass, but I remember writing a report on it in grade 6

in all of my 18 years, I've not seen anything more tremendously delightful than a mounted cowboy unfurling dozens upon dozens of hamburgers upon some unsuspecting foe.
